With the prize of attending Singularity University’s (SU) Global Solutions Program, SU holds competitions around the world to identify outstanding participants and promote entrepreneurship that will positively impact regions around the world.

The 2016 SingularityU France Global Impact Competition is inviting applicants to propose innovative solutions to finance in France. The competition is open to all residents and students in France, but ideas must focus on the challenge of finance. The winner of this competition will win the prize to attend the Global Solutions Program during summer of 2016 at no charge.

Do you have the next BIG IDEA to help French finance solve its 21st century challenges? Some examples of innovative areas that may be relevant: Mobile Technologies, Crowdsourcing, Artificial Intelligence, Big Data,  Automation, Cryptocurrencies, Security and Privacy Identifications, Internet of Things.

Competition Rules

  • The competition is open to all French and French legal residents (including student visa holders) 
  • You must be age 21 or older on the first day of the GSP.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • Able to participate for the entire GSP16 program  (June 18, 2016- August 28, 2016) 

Applicants selected as finalists will be interviewed by a panel of judges after February 26. If a finalist is unavailable for an interview, the application will not be considered.

  • Summary of accomplishments
  • An abstract of the project idea
  • A video URL of the project idea

Assessment criteria

  • Degree of relevance to the theme of the competition
  • The regional relevance in solving the finance challenge in France
  • Feasibility, Viability and Coherence of implementing the idea.
  • Entrepreneurial and innovative potential, with a focus on technological novelty
  • Applicant’s leadership experience and quality, his profile, achievements, and potential

Global Solutions Program

Singularity University’s Global Solutions Program (GSP) is a 10-week educational program held each year from June through August at our campus at the NASA Research Park in Silicon Valley. The GSP accepts 80 participants with multidisciplinary backgrounds who apply through direct admission or win Global Impact Competitions.

Participants are exposed to an intensive, interactive, multicultural experience combining curriculum on exponential technologies with peer-to-peer teaching and learning opportunities in addition to hands-on workshops and site visits. The GSP creates an unparalleled opportunity for participants to collaborate in small teams to design innovative technology solutions that will improve the lives of 1 billion people worldwide over the next decade.
